Locally Sourced Since 1938
The Ross Family has long and established roots and a long history of being involved in Iowa farming.
Our founder, Harold Ross, grew up on a farm in the Tama, Iowa area, and had a great appreciation for the hard work required in farming. He believed in supporting local businesses and one could often see him buying produce off of a truck outside the back door at Ross'.
Harold Ross was doing farm to table before the term even existed. Because of Harold's legacy, and because we believe in supporting the local farmers in our community, as well as a commitment to serving healthier products to our customers, we set a purpose to source as many products locally as possible.
Local and all-natural eggs: All of our eggs come from cage free farms in Iowa, our bacon and sausage is all sourced from Iowa (all natural and nitrate free) and even our bison is from Blue Grass. Seasonal produce comes to us from a certified producer in Clinton County, Cindy Heilmann as well as a few other local farms.
Even the kombucha we serve is sourced regionally in Wisconsin as well as some of our craft sodas. We are always looking for new ways to build upon this mission and will be adding more products as we are able to find them.
